Dear Mr. Jones,

Final Notice: Invoice 279-03 – May 10, 2003 – $1,755.68

You have repeatedly ignored our written requests for payment of the above-noted invoice and you have not contacted us with any explanation.

Consequently, unless we receive payment in full by the end of the business day, August 30, 2003 we will have to take the unpleasant step of turning your account over to a professional collection agency. We would rather not be forced do this since it will result in damage to your personal credit rating.

To prevent us from taking the final step of turning this matter over to a collection agency, could you please make payment in full by the end of the business day, Friday August 30, 2003.

We urge you to please give this matter your full attention now, before it’s too late, and send your payment to us immediately.

Sincerely,

Zakelijk

Dear Rodney:

This is further to our meeting of last week at which we agreed to hold a series of meetings over the next two months to review your experiences with the pilot implementation of the 1to1 Customer Relationship Management Program.

As discussed at that meeting, the objectives of our review sessions will be to:

* Review and assess the overall effectiveness of the program;
* Identify and document strengths weaknesses of the program;
* Propose customer-focused solutions to address areas of weakness;
* Develop an approach and action plan for Phase 2 of the project;
* Determine the staff members who will make up the Phase 2 Team.

As agreed, meetings will be held every second Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and the location will alternate between our two offices, the first one to be convened here at Inter-Office on August 14, 2002. Fred Johnson of your CRM group is to act as the meeting co-ordinator and recording secretary throughout the process.

As discussed, at the end of the process, Deborah Buxton of Consultek will draft the summary report for review by the steering committee. As you requested, a copy of her c.v. has been enclosed.

I trust I have covered all of the points that we discussed. If you have any questions or would like to add anything please give me a call at 123-456789

We look forward to seeing you at the August 14 th meeting.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Smiths,

I was in the audience last Thursday when you spoke about Just In Time (JIT) and Total Quality Management (TQM). Your talk was inspirational–I took five pages of notes–and I enjoyed meeting you.

Because you are a leader in the Ft. Collins business community, your advice and ideas are of value to me. After 13 productive years here (summary of accomplishments enclosed), I am seeking to make contact with other Ft. Collins business executives who may be in a position to provide me with advice regarding my next career step.

I will call you next Thursday between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts about where you think someone with my skills and abilities might be needed. Please note, I will not be asking you for a position in your firm. I ask only for five minutes of your valuable time, and the benefit of your experience.

Many thanks!

Douglas P.

Dear Tom,

As a real estate professional in Ft. Collins, I know you’re aware that networking is the most effective method of doing business in this town. A case in point is that I chose Coldwell Banker to help me find my home based upon a recommendation from Bill Moore.

Having completed the financial turnaround of Robertson Manufacturing, I am now seeking a permanent position. The Controllership position I held at Robertson has been eliminated as a result of my efforts. Have no misunderstanding–this parting of the ways is by mutual consent. There are no hard feelings between the company and me.

I hesitate to impose upon your good nature, Tom, but unfortunately my network of friends and acquaintances is limited. I believe you may be in a position to help me connect with my next job. I have enclosed a copy of my current resume and would appreciate it very much if you could make me aware of any interesting situations that come to your attention.

Please note that my skills are not limited to financial accounting. Related administrative positions, such as computer systems management are also of interest, especially since my MBA area of emphasis is Management Information Systems.

Thank you for your attention. I know you are very busy and I appreciate your help.

Best regards,

Douglas P. Arnold, Jr.

Dear Tamara:

I’m looking for some advice and counsel from people I know and trust.

Rocky Mountain Bank, the firm I worked for the last five years, was sold at year-end and merged with another financial institution. As a result, my job was eliminated. The Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, receiver for Rocky Mountain Bank, asked me to remain and assist in managing the real estate loan/asset portfolio. The position was temporary, as a relocation would be required to make it permanent. I’ve completed that assignment and I’m ready to move forward with something more long-lasting.

I’d like to continue to be a manager in a financial services company (bank, savings and loan, credit union, insurance company, etc.). I’m good at managing people and other resources to attain corporate profits. I’ve also managed data processing installations of all sizes. I like being a part of a dynamic organization, and I am looking for that next opportunity.

You’re a successful person with friends who are also successful. Perhaps you, or someone you know, are aware of a firm that needs someone with my capabilities. If so, I’d appreciate your giving them a copy of the enclosed resume, and I’d like their name so that I can contact them personally.

The past few months have been exciting, but the next few years hold even more promise. I’m enthused about the prospect for change and I hope that you can help me make sure it’s a positive change.

I’d appreciate your thoughts and ideas. Please contact me at (303) 755-8880. Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

John H. Norris

Stage-aanvraag 2

Dear Mr. Jones,l

I would like to become a trainee account executive with Threadgill, Glendon and Martin.

Visits to three advertising agencies, including your own, have reinforced my interest in being an account executive and made me more aware of how advertising combines the commercial challenge of satisfying a client’s needs with the excitement of the creative process. I find the wide variety of advertising fascinating. I enjoy analysing why different media (papers, magazines, television, posters, packaging) have been used to get the message across.

I believe I have the skills required of an account executive to bring together the diverse demands which result in a successful campaign. As an actor and musician I have worked within a team as a disciplined member. While assisting the play director I helped to organise and motivate others, thereby ensuring that the production was completed successfully. As a student I have learned to formulate relevant and rational arguments quickly and communicate them effectively.

No doubt you receive many applications for your few posts, but I hope that the skills outlined above, the enclosed application form, and my enthusiasm for advertising will persuade you to interview me.
Yours sincerely ,

Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to apply for the post of Graduate Engineer in your organisation as advertised in the Official Guide to the Engineering Recruitment Show (14-15 June 2003). I believe this is a challenging position which will offer me scope to make full use of my extensive academic and engineering skills.

Having graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Staffordshire University and having recently gained a Master of Science degree in Computing Integrated Manufacturing and its Management from The University of Huddersfield, I have gained a wide variety of skills and experience whilst working for BNFL Plc. And Crosslee Plc.

Working as Assistant Mechanical Engineer at Calder Hill nuclear power station, in the mechanical and maintenance department, I was involved with the setting up of a mechanical maintenance programme for reactor critical machinery. On completion of the programme, I successfully trained personnel in procedures of condition monitoring and diagnostic techniques. In addition, working for Crosslee Plc., I was employed in the technical department to evaluate and implement a suitable database system to aid the department in creating new version specifications efficiently and in turn, help the production department produce a Bill Of Materials more easily.

With my sound knowledge and skills I believe I am well placed to assist you in your plans for further development and increase your international profile. Together with the experience I have gained to date, I am able to offer the willingness to within a high pressure environment and the ability to communicate well with people at all levels.

I feel that I have the necessary knowledge and experience required to fulfil the post of Graduate engineer successfully. I have enclosed my curriculum vitae and very much look forward to meeting you to discuss your requirements in depth.

Yours faithfully,

Director of Pilot Operations

Dear Mr. Howard:

Your company’s projected growth was highlighted in this month’s Professional Pilot magazine. I enjoyed reading the article and am hopeful for the growth it projected.

As a professional pilot with six years experience, I thought my background might interest you, since you appear to have future jobs opening up.

My most recent experience was with Regional Carrier Operations, and I have listed some of my experience:

    – Flew single-pilot IFR for Air Taxi/Air Cargo in the mountain states region.

– Maintained terminal operation for Air Cargo away from home base using C-210/C-310 equipment.

– Maintained consistent record of on-schedule operations in flying jobs.

At 26 years and unattached, I have a degree from Mesa College. Relocation and travel present no problem.

I will call you in a few days to introduce myself and learn more about your operation.

Very truly yours,

James B. Garrington
